OTTER AT THICKET PORTAGE CAMP

Introduced by de Havilland Canada in 1953, the DHC-3 Otter was a single-engined, high-wing, propeller-driven, short take-off and landing (STOL) aircraft used extensively in the North. This Otter is offloading oil drums, propane cylinders, building materials and other supplies, including a small outboard motor, at the dock at Thicket Portage near present-day Thompson. (H. S.
