Paint Lake Provincial Park

Just 27.5 kms south of Thompson off Provincial Highway #6 at the junction of Provincial Road #375, you will find Paint Lake Provincial Park, which extends over 56,000 acres in the beautiful Precambrian Shield and boreal forest.

There are facilities for persons with disabilities, 76 serviced and unserviced campsites, day camping, long-term sites, toilets and showers, playgrounds for the kids, three sand beaches, and great walking trails.  There are several boat launches, a sports field, as well as volleyball and horse-shoe pits.  There is a restaurant and lounge, convenience store, as well as cabin and yurts rentals.

Enjoy long northern summer days on a sun-drenched beach, by a campfire, or use the largest marina in Manitoba as a starting point for walleye and northern pike adventures.  Visit in winter and enjoy snowshoeing, tobogganing, skating and ice fishing.  Trails are available for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
